Leo Huculak

1929-2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leo Huculak at the young age of 96, who left us peacefully on December 22, 2025.

Leo will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Linda (Bob) and Joann (Rick), his sons Eddy (Marie-Noel) and Glen, his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his wide circle of friends.

Leo proudly served his country with the Royal Canadian Navy during the Korean War, and we are deeply grateful for his dedication and service.

Leo was a generous man whose warm presence and quick sense of humor could brighten any room. His laughter and kindness will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He especially enjoyed playing cribbage at the Verdun Legion and spending time with friends at the Seniors Club at Verdun’s Dawson Community Center, where he was a familiar and cherished face.

A celebration of life will be held on February 14 from 4pm to 7pm, located at The Marcel Giroux Community Center, 4501 Rue Bannantyne, Montreal, Quebec H4G 1E3. We will also, at the same time, hold a celebration of Life for his wife Vivian Lapointe.

The Verdun Legion will hold a Legion’s Veterans Service at 5pm.

Those wishing to honor Leo’s memory may consider making a donation to the Verdun Legion and/or the Dawson Community Center Seniors Club in lieu of flowers.
